Writers' Talks in The Courtauld Gallery

20 November - 21 January

Ruth Padel, Somerset House Writer in Residence, has invited six eminent writers from different genres to give a series of exclusive talks about their favourite painting in
The Courtauld Gallery. Writers include Philip Pullman, Hisham Matar, Colm Toibin and Jackie Kay.

Each writer has chosen a work that particularly engages, challenges, provokes or delights them, and will present their personal reflections during a talk for a small audience, directly in front of the painting. This will be followed by a book signing and chance to meet the writer.
